Historic heatwaves with temperatures exceeding the 40°C threshold daily are the most intense across the Balkan peninsula and Eastern Europe. Mediterranean region seas are also becoming hot, reaching 30 °C in places. According to the forecasts of the global weather models, temperatures throughout July will remain much above average across Southern and Eastern Europe.
